Why Blessings By Design?

Welcome to Blessings By Design!

What? Why? And How? are questions you may be asking yourself about now, so I'll explain them in that order =D

What? - Blessings By Design is a collaborative effort between myself (Wistfulgirl) and my hubby, Mojo (for those of you who read my blog, you'll know him as The Hubs). It is a free place to list requests for things you may need and/or want.

For instance, you may be looking for a good baby monitor set but can't really afford to shell out $50 to $100 for one. Well, there may be someone out there reading this list who has one they're no longer using! Maybe they would be willing to let you have it at no charge or for shipping only.

Maybe there's a book you're desperately wanting to read, but you can't locate it anywhere and it's sold out on Amazon. Post it here! Maybe someone has it and would be willing to send you their copy!

Maybe things are really tough for you right now (let's not forget that the National unemployment rate is running at 9.1% at the moment) and you need some help with making your mortgage payment this month. One person may not have all you need, but perhaps several people could contribute a small amount.

Maybe all you need is prayers or encouragement or both! Submit your wish and let people all across the world be keeping you in their thoughts.

Whatever it is you need or wish for, let someone help make your need/wish come true!

Why? - Basically, the answer to this goes back to the the post that inspired this site by Mel over at Stirrup Queens. Everybody wishes for something. And, while it may not be possible to fix the big things in life that cause us grief, perhaps someone out there can offer a tiny moment of joy simply by answering a small wish for someone else. Think of it as a sort of "online philanthropy". A pay it forward kind of thing.
